Maddy Smith, COTA/L  joined Honeybee Pediatric Therapy in 2023. She received her bachelors degree in kinesiology from the University of Maine in 2016 and associates in occupational therapy from Bates Technical College in Tacoma Washington in 2019. When not working she enjoys hiking, backpacking, skiing, kayaking, cooking, and being with family and friends!

Emmalee is a passionate occupational therapist who recently relocated from Boston to the area with her husband, Christian. Emmalee's favorite aspect of her work is providing individualized care through engaging activities tailored to each child's unique needs. In her free time, Emmalee enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, lake days, racket sports and playing with her fluffy cat Peli. Emmalee is excited to bring her expertise and passion for occupational therapy to the community. 

Carolyn Huntress, RPT has been a pediatric PT for over 35 years.
Recently, Carolyn has become a grandmother, which led to her decision to retire from Androscoggin Home Healthcare so that she can help babysit her grandson, Parker. When she's not at work, Carolyn enjoys spending time with her husband, children, grandchild, dogs, and close friends. Her favorite activities are watching the Hallmark Movie Channel, decorating for the Christmas season, and walking her dogs.

Corie Lucier, MS OTR/L graduated from Plymouth State University in 2020 with a bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Sciences and graduated from USM with a master’s degree in occupational therapy. Corie currently lives in Otisfield, ME and loves animals, cooking/baking, making crafts/experiments, and being on the water.

Christine Trefethen, MOT, OTR/L is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine. She joined the team at Honeybee Pediatric Therapy in 2013.  Christine is also a Registered Children’s Yoga Teacher. She has pursued additional training in utilizing yoga as a treatment modality for children with autism and special needs. In addition to working with children, Christine’s other passions include long-distance cycling, cross country skiing, and knitting. Christine lives on an Morning Glory Organic farm in western Maine.


Owner/OT:  Melissa Wood, OTR/L is a 1990 graduate of the University of New England.  She has been treating children in outpatient, school and community settings since 1992.  In 2012 she decided to open Honeybee Pediatric Therapy to provide child and family-friendly services in the Oxford Hills.

Bailey Frost, MS OTR/L graduated from Husson University in 2016 with a masters degree in occupational therapy and bachelor's degree in psychology. She has previous experience as an OT in a preschool setting working with children with developmental delays, Autism and behavioral conditions. She enjoys doing jigsaw puzzles and spending time at her family camp in Poland during her free time.

Amanda Lorentzen, MS, OTR/L graduated from Springfield College with a Bachelor’s in Health Science / Pre-Occupational Therapy and a Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy. She is passionate about sensory and mental health occupational therapy. Amanda recently moved to Maine and loves to spend time with her family, friends, and dogs. She also enjoys being in nature, cooking, yoga, and traveling.

Leah Hanks, MOT, OTR/L is a graduate of the University of Southern Maine’s Master of Occupational Therapy Program.  Leah also has a Bachelor’s degree in Natural and Applied Science with a concentration in the biology of human health and illness, and a minor in holistic health.  In her free time, Leah enjoys spending time with loved ones, cooking them tasty food, and has a passion for nature.  Leah resides in western Maine with her husband and their 3 small children. Type your paragraph here.
